AI: Artificial Insecurity

Some of us have imagined a future where humans work together with robots to make daily jobs lighter. I think I can safely say that the future is almost here but it doesn’t entirely live up to the expectations. Not because of how it’s weak technology, it’s more to the fact that it might be too good to the point where that it might just replace the humans that created them. A lot of people think that’s what’s going to happen and other people think that they’re just being paranoid.

Artificial intelligence is the simulation where computers to make decisions or do things that traditionally would require human intelligence complete. AI already plays a big part in our life and we can’t deny that they’re needed for several things like face recognition and such. Making articles or blogs can also be done by AI. It’s very possible that this one’s even made by a random AI website online (it’s not).

But blogs and articles aren’t the reason of why people fear of what’s to come from AI. The possibilities of what AI technology is capable of could be huge threat to human security. People fear that they might lose their jobs since AI is becoming smarter and more flexible to do human work. Eighty-five million jobs are expected to be lost to AI automation between 2020 and 2025. Dangerous equipment of war and even more weapons of mass destruction are also possible things that could be created by AI. Since machines and computers don’t have morale and human ethics, AI should never be in control of human judgement in court or in general.

With all of that said, AI is still being developed on and no one is sure of what’s to come. We shouldn’t be too fearful of it either because they might just progress on to be more helpful instead of hurtful for the human race. Just be slightly cautious since they might be the start of the extinction of the entire human race and civilization.
